Job summary

Field Mining Services Group is seeking an experienced Workshop Estimator in Mackay, QLD to prepare fabrication quotations by analysing RFQ requirements, drawings and specs. You will manage bid pricing from multiple vendors and assist management with workshop project scheduling and pipeline.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and clear communication with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Relevant trade qualification – Fabrication.
• Current drivers licence.
• CAPM or PMP qualifications (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Prepare fabrication quotations by analysing RFQ requirements, technical drawings and specifications.
• Ensure supplier bids & proposals meet project specifications, budget requirements and timeframes.
• Manage bid pricing from all vendors and assist management with workshop project scheduling and pipeline.

Job description

We are currently looking for an experienced Workshop Estimator to join our team. We have a great opportunity available for you to take on a new challenge and work with a great team.

You will be experienced with preparing fabrication quotations by analysing ‘requests for quote requirements’, technical drawings and associated specifications. Ensuring supplier bids & proposals meet project specifications, budget requirements and timeframes.

Your strong understanding of Fabrication estimating will give you the ability to understand the scope of work to bid, manage the bid pricing from all vendors and assist management with the overall scheduling of the workshop projects and pipeline.

This position will be proactive and coordinate site visits for ability to measure up and scope jobs. You will have a strong analytical skill set, attention to detail, along with excellent communication skills.
