Job summary

JJ’s Waste & Recycling is Australia’s largest family-owned waste management company, seeking a Workshop Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe workshop environment for mechanics and the team.

You’ll sweep, mop, pressure wash floors, empty bins, tidy lunchrooms, and help with general housekeeping. A forklift ticket or HR licence is advantageous but not essential. Starting at 8am, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of $36.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the workshop, depot and surrounding areas.

• Assist with general housekeeping and organisation of work areas.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and consumables.
• Support a safe workplace by identifying and reporting hazards.

About the Role

Pay Rate: $36.00 per hour

Shifts commencing: Starting at 8am

Workdays: Monday to Friday

What You’ll Do

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Workshop Cleaner who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe and organised environment for our mechanics and workshop team.

• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the workshop, depot and surrounding areas
• Sweep, mop and pressure wash the workshop floors

What You’ll Bring

• A strong work ethic with a reputation for being reliable, punctual, and ready to get the job done.
• Previous workshop, industrial or commercial cleaning experience is highly regarded
• The physical capability to safely perform the responsibilities of this role
• A positive and professional attitude, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, including the flexibility to perform the tasks in an active workshop
• A genuine commitment to safety and compliance with workplace policies and procedures
• A current forklift ticket and/or HR licence would be advantageous but is not essential
