FMS Group's Paget Workshop in Mackay region is seeking a Workshop Boilermaker. You will perform light to heavy fabrication, read drawings, and weld to 9606.1 standards within a supportive crew focused on safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Relevant Trade Qualification
• Current driver’s licence (preferred)
• High-risk tickets an advantage (forklift, crane, dogging, rigging)
• Must weld to 9606.1 standards and pass weld test
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong focus on safety and quality
• Problem solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Light to heavy steel fabrication
• Experience with plate work, structural steel, and complex assemblies
• MIG / Flux Core welding experience (TIG / Stick advantageous)
• Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings
• Assembly and welding of large components
• Use of overhead cranes, forklifts, and workshop equipment
• Cutting, gouging, and preparation of materials
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and quality
