Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the planning, development and delivery of regional ferry facilities and service operations, meeting performance targets and optimising resource utilisation.

This permanent full-time on-site role based in Windsor, NSW, requires a four-year engineering degree and strong maritime operations knowledge, stakeholder engagement, and contract management to deliver safe, efficient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Four-year engineering degree required.
  • Experience leading maritime/ferry projects preferred.
  • Experience managing contracts and stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS, environmental and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, development and delivery of regional ferry facilities, programs and service operations to meet performance targets and optimise resource utilisation.
  • Drive safe, efficient and commercially focused delivery of ferry works programs in a complex operational and stakeholder environment.
  • Manage teams, contracts and stakeholder relationships to deliver projects on time, within scope, cost and quality, supporting community and customer outcomes.
  • Extensive experience in engineering works planning, budgeting, program delivery and managing a direct control workforce, with strong knowledge of WHS, environmental and quality requirements.
  • Demonstrated maritime industry experience and a sound understanding of maritime operations, asset maintenance / management, and service delivery.
  • Proven experience managing operational teams, contractors, and resources in a complex, safety-critical environment.
  • You're recognised as an ethical and collaborative leader, skilled at stakeholder engagement, contract management and communicating complex information clearly.
  • You bring experience leading multidisciplinary teams, and ferry or infrastructure works delivery to achieve efficient, safe and customer-focused outcomes.

A four-year engineering degree from an Australian university or equivalent overseas qualification is required
