NT WorkSafe in Darwin seeks a Prosecutor to deliver prosecution services on behalf of the Work Health Authority, Electrical Safety Regulator and Dangerous Goods Competent Authority. You will work in a small, high-performing investigations and prosecutions team, handling matters from advice through to prosecution with autonomy and direct stakeholder engagement.

Admission as an Australian Legal Practitioner, eligibility for a Northern Territory practising certificate, and experience in criminal

• Admission as an Australian Legal Practitioner and eligibility for NT practising certificate.
• Experience in criminal law, evidence, practice and procedure.
• Proven experience conducting contested hearings, committals and appeals.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Sound legal research and written communication abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Attend court mentions and coordinate prosecutions from advice to hearing.
• Provide legal advice to investigators, regulators and senior management.
• Review evidence and prepare briefs with investigators.
• Liaise with defence counsel, judiciary, victims and witnesses.
• Travel to regional locations as required.
