Commonwealth Bank is seeking a Workforce Effectiveness Lead to shape how work evolves as AI, technology, and workforce needs transform the organisation. You will connect work design with workforce planning and collaborate with business and HR leaders to deliver future-state solutions.
You will translate data into insights, facilitate discussions across stakeholders, and contribute expertise to emerging workforce priorities as the organisation evolves.
The Workforce Effectiveness Centre of Excellence helps prepare CommBank and its workforce for the future. Bringing together strategic workforce forecasting, career architecture and work redesign, the team supports the organisation to anticipate how work is changing and make informed decisions about future work, skills and workforce requirements.
As a Workforce Effectiveness Lead, you’ll help shape how work evolves as AI, technology and changing workforce needs transform the organisation.
Reporting to the Executive Manager, Workforce Effectiveness Centre of Excellence, you’ll form part of the broader Workforce Readiness Domain. You’ll connect work design with wider workforce and organisational effectiveness priorities, helping leaders make informed, future-focused decisions.
Working closely with business and HR leaders, you’ll lead complex engagements from initial diagnosis through to future-state design, applying work design methodologies and insights to develop sustainable solutions that balance business, workforce and organisational considerations.
Lead end-to-end work design engagements, from diagnosis and problem definition through to future-state design and recommendations.
Partner with business and HR leaders to understand how AI, technology and strategic change may reshape work, roles, skills and workforce requirements.
Apply work design methodologies, tools and insights to identify opportunities and shape sustainable future-state solutions.
Translate data and analysis into clear insights and compelling narratives that support senior leader decision-making.
Facilitate discussions, constructively challenge assumptions and influence stakeholders across organisational boundaries.
Connect work design with workforce planning, career architecture, transformation and broader organisational priorities.
Contribute your expertise to emerging Workforce Effectiveness priorities as the organisation’s needs and capabilities continue to evolve.
Experience leading complex work design, organisation design, organisational effectiveness or workforce transformation initiatives, gained through specialist, consulting, HR Business Partner or related roles.
Strong problem-solving, facilitation and storytelling capabilities, with a proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
An understanding of how emerging technologies, including AI, are reshaping work, skills, workforce requirements and organisational effectiveness.
Experience translating data and organisational challenges into clear insights, strategic recommendations and practical outcomes that inform executive decision-making.
The ability to navigate ambiguity, challenge established thinking and lead conversations that shape future workforce and organisational priorities.
A human-centred approach, with knowledge of organisational psychology, behavioural science, human factors, psychosocial risk or workplace wellbeing being highly regarded.
