Job summary

Pitcher Partners is seeking a Systems Lead to oversee Workday as the core people platform. You will connect People Experience with business stakeholders to ensure reliable processes, data and reporting, while driving continuous improvement and governance across Workday.

You will translate requirements into system solutions, enhance processes, and enable accurate people insights, partnering with internal teams and an AMS provider to deliver impactful outcomes.

The People Experience team at Pitcher Partners is a multifaceted group dedicated to attracting and retaining talent while ensuring every employee's journey is engaging, aspirational, and rich with learning opportunities. About the role

Reporting to the Director, Reward and People Services, the Systems Lead is responsible for leading the effective operation, optimisation and ongoing enhancement of Workday as a core people platform for the firm. The role acts as the key connection point between People Experience, business stakeholders and system users to ensure Workday processes, data, reporting and user experience are reliable, practical and aligned to firm needs.

With a strong focus on continuous improvement, governance and service delivery, the role supports the successful adoption of Workday by translating business requirements into system solutions, improving process efficiency and enabling accurate, timely people insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day administration, configuration and continuous improvement of Workday, ensuring the system remains fit for purpose, accurate and aligned to People Experience and firm requirements.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, assess system impacts and translate requirements into practical solutions and process improvements.
• Maintain strong governance over Workday processes, and test and implement configuration changes, updates and enhancements including Support Workday release cycles, including impact assessment, regression testing and post-release validation
• Provide specialist Workday advice and support, troubleshooting issues and identifying opportunities to improve processes.
• Act as the primary contact with our AMS provider to escalate and manage issues, triage stakeholder queries, monitor data quality, and lead small projects and enhancements.

• Experienced Workday user with a background in HR or related discipline, capable of optimising system functionality to support strategic decision-making.

• Confident communicator and collaborator, able to partner across teams and act as a Workday super user to support and train others.
• Demonstrates a growth mindset, resilience, and a proactive approach to resolving system issues and driving continuous improvement.
