Job summary

APA Group is seeking a Workday Finance Reporting Lead to join the Integrated Business Planning & Reporting team in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane on a permanent full-time basis. You will lead the design, development and optimisation of Workday finance reports and dashboards, acting as a trusted partner to stakeholders across the business.

You will manage enquiries and enhancements, participate in testing, and help shape finance reporting as we optimise Workday.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to capture reporting requirements and translate them into Workday reports and dashboards.
• Design, develop and maintain finance reports and analytics aligned with business goals.
• Manage reporting inquiries, defects and enhancements via ServiceNow.
• Lead reporting activities during restructures, acquisitions or divestments.
• Drive process improvements and data visualisation improvements; document and train users.

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Workday Finance Reporting Lead to join our Integrated Business Planning & Reporting team in our Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney office on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Finance Reporting Enablement Manager, you will play a key role in driving and enhancing APA's finance reporting capability within Workday. Acting as a trusted partner to stakeholders across the business, you will lead the design, development and optimisation of reports and dashboards, manage reporting-related enquiries and enhancements, and help shape the future of finance reporting as we continue our Workday optimisation journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, investigate issues and translate business needs into effective Workday reporting and dashboard solutions.
• Design, develop and maintain finance reports, dashboards and analytics solutions, ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment with business objectives.
• Manage reporting-related enquiries, defects, enhancement requests and service tickets through ServiceNow, delivering timely and effective resolutions.
• Lead reporting activities associated with organisational restructures, acquisitions, divestments and other significant business change initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline reporting processes, automate manual activities and enhance data visualisation capabilities.
• Develop documentation, deliver user training and provide ongoing support to finance teams while participating in testing and sign-off activities for reporting enhancements and system changes.

Your Background

• Workday certification, with strong experience using Workday Query Language (WQL).
• Demonstrated experience developing and supporting reporting solutions, dashboards and analytics in Workday.
• Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify root causes and design practical solutions to complex business challenges.
• Proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, gather requirements, interpret business needs and translate them into technical reporting outcomes.
• Experience working with reporting enhancement requests, system issues, testing activities and continuous improvement initiatives within a service-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, coupled with a high level of attention to detail, accountability and commercial acumen.
