Job summary

Perth Airport in Western Australia is seeking an Applications Specialist to ensure critical business applications are secure, reliable, and optimised to support daily operations. You will manage cloud-based and on-premises systems and act as the Technology lead for the Workday HCM platform.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role combines configuration, integrations, security, lifecycle management and on-call support to enable business success across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in administering enterprise applications and systems infrastructure with a sound understanding of Workday.
• Tertiary and relevant application qualifications desired, e.g.; Computer Science Degree, SQL, M365, AWS/Azure, PRINCE2, ITIL4 or other vendor certifications.
• Excellent stakeholder management with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to self-prioritise work and maintain quality.
• Plans proactively and is systematic in approach to tasks.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimise Workday and other critical business applications across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Manage Workday security, integrations, platform updates, and system performance to ensure reliability and compliance.
• Provide expert technical support, troubleshooting, and advice to stakeholders, vendors, and business users.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and data integration opportunities across the business.
• Support cyber security, disaster recovery, business continuity, and compliance activities to protect critical systems and data.
• Contribute to projects, major incident management, and on-call support to ensure the ongoing availability of business-critical applications.
