Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety VIC in Melbourne is seeking a WorkCover Payroll Administration Officer to manage workers compensation payments and leave records, ensuring staff receive correct entitlements after injuries.

You will process weekly and top-up payments, update payroll and leave records in CHRIS21 and Time Target, and reconcile weekly reimbursements with the insurer, while protecting sensitive information and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

A tertiary qualification in a relevant field is not essential but would be highly regarded.
Strong payroll skills and an eye for detail.
Experience using payroll systems CHRIS21 and Time Target.
Experience processing workers compensation payments and understanding entitlements.
Strong Excel and data skills including formulas, pivot tables and charts.
Clear communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy, service and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Process weekly and top-up payments and calculate workers compensation entitlements.
Update payroll and leave records using CHRIS21 and Time Target.
Help injured employees understand their payment and leave entitlements.
Check payment details, update records and reconcile weekly reimbursements with the insurer.
Protect sensitive information and maintain accurate records, databases and reports.
