Insider Leads invites experienced Maths and Science teachers to join our online tutoring team. You will deliver one-on-one lessons to students across Australia, using customised lesson plans and exam-style questions to build confidence and understanding.
Choose your own hours, work from home, and earn $30–$50 per hour based on experience and syllabus familiarity. We provide ongoing students, teaching resources, and professional development to support your tutoring journey.
Qualifications
- Qualified teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
- Experience with Australian school syllabuses is a strong advantage.
- Reliable weekly availability and professionalism in online teaching.
Responsibilities

We're an online tutoring provider built around personalised, one-on-one learning, supported by a team of more than 300 registered teachers. We prepare students for senior secondary exams (HSC, VCE, QCE, WACE and SACE), and also offer Year 1-10 English reading and writing, Maths and Science, plus preparation for Scholarship and Selective School entry exams.
We're looking for qualified, experienced Maths and Science teachers to join our expanding online team. This role is a great fit for current or former Australian school teachers who want to put their classroom experience to work in a flexible, one-on-one setting.
Subjects you may teach:
Year 1-10 Mathematics
Year 11-12 Mathematics, including:
HSC Mathematics Standard, Advanced, Extension 1 and Extension 2
VCE, QCE and SACE General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics
WACE Mathematics Applications, Methods and Specialist
Year 7-10 Science
Year 11-12 Physics
Year 11-12 Chemistry
Year 11-12 Biology
Senior secondary exam preparation (HSC, VCE, QCE, WACE and SACE)
Teachers who are confident across both Maths and Science, or across several year levels, are especially welcome.
Our students include Australian-born students (both native English speakers and EAL learners) as well as international students from China.
Teach engaging one-on-one online lessons shaped around each student's needs
Help students understand key concepts and apply them to exam-style questions
Support students with homework and exam revision
Work from a lesson plan designed for each student
Teach in person at a student's home or a local library, if you'd like this option
A teaching qualification is highly regarded. Relevant teaching or tutoring experience, or current study towards a teaching degree, will also be considered
Experience teaching in Australian schools is a strong advantage
Strong exam-preparation skills and familiarity with senior secondary Maths and/or Science syllabuses and assessment structures (HSC, VCE, QCE, WACE or SACE)
In-depth subject knowledge in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and/or Biology
Reliable weekly availability and a professional approach to teaching
A stable internet connection and confidence using online teaching tools
Choose your own hours and workload, and teach from wherever suits you
Ongoing students on a steady weekly timetable, rather than short, term-by-term bookings
Competitive pay of $30 to $50 per hour, always paid on time, based on:
Your years of teaching experience
Your classroom experience in Australian schools
Your experience preparing students for Year 12 exams and internal assessments

Customised learning materials and a Student Learning Plan for every student
Teaching Assistants who arrange lesson times and liaise with parents for you
Help with homework marking from our Teaching Assistants, using supplied answer keys
A Learning Coordinator who keeps parents up to date on progress and study plans
