Job summary

Qube Ports in Tarago is seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to oversee stockpiling and loading of mineral concentrates, coordinate labour and shifts, and ensure site safety and compliance.

You will lead on-site personnel, supervise weighbridge operations, maintain equipment, prepare operational reports and liaise with clients and contractors to achieve safe, efficient outcomes in a mining environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory or leadership roles in mining, logistics, transport or bulk materials handling.

• - Experience implementing site procedures and operational standards.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our operations at Woodlawn Mine, Tarago. In this role, you will oversee the stockpiling and loading of mineral concentrates, coordinate labour and shift activities, conduct safety meetings and handovers, and ensure compliance with site, safety and customer requirements.

You will lead site personnel, oversee weighbridge operations and equipment maintenance, complete operational reporting, and liaise with clients, contractors and employees to achieve safe and efficient outcomes. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong leadership, communication and organisational skills in a dynamic mining environment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within mining, logistics, transport or bulk materials handling operations
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental compliance, including participation in safety initiatives and meetings
• Experience leading and supervising operational teams, including labour allocation, rosters and shift activities
• Experience implementing and maintaining site procedures, policies and operational standards
• Experience monitoring operational compliance, including load management and transport requirements
• Experience coordinating equipment maintenance and liaising with maintenance personnel and contractors
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a key point of contact for site personnel, clients and contractors
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing performance, coaching and developing employees
• Experience preparing operational reports and completing administrative tasks
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Current unrestricted driver's licence

DESIRED:

• Experience operating or supervising mobile plant and equipment
• Experience within mining or mineral concentrate handling operations
• Experience overseeing weighbridge operations and load compliance requirements
• High Risk Work Licence (Forklift) or other relevant machinery licences
