Job summary

Sinatra's Pizza & Pasta in East Victoria Park, WA, is seeking an experienced Chef for a full-time role with an annual salary of 80,000 AUD plus superannuation. You will lead kitchen operations, plan menus, and supervise a team.

The ideal candidate has a Certificate 4 in commercial cookery, at least 12 months in a professional kitchen, and proven pizza and pasta expertise with wood-fired oven skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate 4 in commercial cookery is required.
• Minimum 12 months’ experience as a Chef in a professional kitchen.
• Experience with pizza and pasta, and wood-fired/open fire cooking.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise the food preparation and cooking activities.
• Determine how food should be presented, and create decorative food displays.
• Determine production schedules & staff requirements to ensure delivery of services.
• Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients.
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure standards are met.
• Instruct cooks and other workers in preparation, cooking, garnishing & presentation of food.
• Monitor sanitation practices to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Prepare and cook food of all types, including for special events or functions.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and staff in food preparation.
• Collaborate with others to plan recipes and menus considering seasonality and guest numbers.
