Job summary

Assembly Label is seeking a Design Assistant to join our Alexandria Head Office design team. This role supports day‑to‑day design tasks and contributes to developing our collections within a growing, multi‑channel fashion brand.

The Design Assistant will help with admin, CAD work, tech packs, sample coordination and showroom setup, while learning under the Senior Designer and collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in fashion design or a related field.
• Fashion Design qualification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of fabrics, colour, and digital artwork.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office; strong Illustrator and Excel skills.
• Understanding of garment fit, construction, and technical design principles.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• General design department administration and data entry.
• Master data and style workflow maintenance in dashboards and visual range plans.
• Support the design team in creating tech packs and inputting key style data.
• Assist with incoming sample co-ordination and documentation.
• Ensure the design room is organised with samples, fabrics, trims and digital files.
• Create and update CADs to represent seasonal collections.
• Manage range presentation documents with attention to detail.
• Inform stakeholders of changes regarding product attributes and range structure.
• Assist with showroom setup each season for range meetings and reviews.
