Sofitel Sydney Wentworth invites a Chef de Partie – Wok to join our luxury kitchen team. You will lead the wok section during service, delivering high-quality dishes that reflect our Vietnamese and French-inspired identity, while upholding five-star standards in a bustling hotel environment.

We require solid wok-cooking experience, ability to work under pressure, and a strong commitment to food safety, hygiene and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie or Demi Chef in a busy kitchen.
• Strong wok-cooking skills and high-heat techniques.
• Able to maintain high standards during peak service.
• Commitment to food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the wok section during service.
• Prepare and cook dishes using wok techniques.
• Work closely with other sections for smooth service.
• Maintain high standards of flavour, texture, appearance and portions.
• Ensure ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
• Minimise waste and practice HACCP compliance.
• Store, label, date and rotate food safely.
• Maintain personal hygiene and safe handling practices.
