Job summary

O'Brien awaits a motivated, mechanically minded individual to join the Ayr Service Centre as an Apprentice Windscreen Fitter. You will undertake hands-on glass repairs, learn to calibrate ADAS systems, and work toward a nationally recognised Certificate III in Automotive Glazing.

You will benefit from on-the-job training, uniform and tools, and long-term career pathways within a national brand. A strong customer service focus is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities, plus comfort engaging with customers.
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Undertake the Cert III in Automotive Glazing through the apprenticeship program.
• Learn to repair and replace automotive glass to Australian standards.
• Perform ADAS windscreen recalibrations and glass chip repairs.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and represent the O'Brien brand with pride.
• Contribute to long-term career development within a national network.

What you’ll be doing

• Undertake the O'Brien® Cert III in Automotive Glazing through our Auto Technician Skills Development Program

• Learn to repair and replace automotive glass to Australian standards

• Perform ADAS windscreen re‑calibrations

• Carry out glass chip repairs

• Deliver exceptional customer service in a professional and timely manner

• Represent the O'Brien® brand with pride and reliability

What we’re looking for

• Experience in the Automotive Industry (highly regarded)

• Manual driver’s licence (highly regarded)

• Mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand tools

• Strong work ethic and desire for a long-term career

• Comfortable engaging with customers and promoting company products

• Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn

• Strong organisational and time‑management skills

• Ability to stay focused and deliver results under pressure
