Job summary

National Trust Queensland & the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital on the Gold Coast is seeking a dedicated Wildlife Veterinary Nurse for a full-time, 12-month max term contract. You will join a busy hospital team that delivers high-quality health care, clinical nursing and husbandry for admitted wildlife and sanctuary species.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with wildlife and exotic species.
• Clinical nursing and animal handling skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide health monitoring and clinical nursing in a busy wildlife hospital.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
• Perform laboratory diagnostic procedures and sample collection/storage.
• Safely capture, restrain and handle native and exotic wildlife.
