This is an exciting opportunity to work across two unique facilities, splitting your time between Mt Wilga Private Hospital (112 room rehabilitation hospital and day therapy centre) in Hornsby and Strathfield Private Hospital, a medical and surgical hospital serving Sydney’s inner west.

Role: Health & Safety/WH S Coordinator

Responsibilities
  • Embedding and maintaining the Ramsay safety management system, templates, and documentation.
  • Investigating incidents and implementing solutions to minimise future risks.
  • Conducting risk assessments, site audits, and workplace safety training.
  • Developing and maintaining effective safety practices.
  • Preparing and presenting safety performance reports for internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
  • Tertiary qualifications in WH&S (Minimum of a Cert IV in WH&S).
  • Experience in Work Health and Safety, preferably within the health industry or a large organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teams at all levels.
  • A proactive and highly organised approach to managing multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent planning, time management, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Full Australian work rights, a current Police Check & proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
What You’ll Be Paid

This is a permanent full-time position covering the two hospitals, working 38 hours per week, reporting directly to the NSW Safety Manager. We offer a base annual salary of $110k - $115k + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

There is flexibility to offer this role as a permanent part-time position, with the opportunity to support either Mt Wilga or Strathfield Private Hospital, depending on the suitability of the applicant. The base salary will be pro rata, aligned with the part-time hours and the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
