IBG is a majority Indigenous owned recruitment business registered with Supply Nation, specialising in civil engineering, infrastructure, construction and major project recruitment. We partner closely with contractors, engineering consultancies and delivery organisations to place high quality technical professionals. Our approach is relationship led and commercially grounded, built on practical industry experience and a clear understanding of how complex projects are delivered.
Working closely with operational teams, supervisors and management, you will provide practical safety support across day-to-day road infrastructure operations and maintenance activities.
A key part of the role is coaching and influencing people in the field. You will work alongside crews to improve safety awareness, strengthen risk management and help ensure established safety systems translate into practical behaviours on site.
This is an opportunity to join an established infrastructure environment where safety is integrated into operations and where you can have a genuine influence on how work is planned and delivered.
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of Australian WHS/HSEQ experience who is comfortable working directly with operational teams rather than managing safety primarily from an office.
Your experience could have been gained across civil construction, road construction or maintenance, rail, utilities, mining, resources, heavy industry or other infrastructure environments.
You will be someone who can build credibility with crews and supervisors, communicate clearly and take a practical approach to safety while still maintaining the standards expected within a major infrastructure environment.

It will particularly suit someone who enjoys the people side of safety, wants to spend time in the field and is looking for an environment where they can continue developing their capability while having a direct impact on frontline safety performance.
