Job summary

Shadforth, a leading civil contractor in Queensland, seeks a WHS Advisor to support projects across the Fraser Coast Region, based from Hervey Bay. You will work alongside an experienced Regional WHS Manager and project teams on infrastructure, subdivisions, roadworks and community developments.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or studying towards it.
• WHS experience in civil construction or similar high-risk site environment.
• Knowledge of WHS legislation with willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Current driver's licence and ability to travel between project sites.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers and Site Teams to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Conduct site inspections and audits for WHS compliance.
• Provide practical advice, coaching and support on safe work practices.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to improve WHSE systems and processes.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety communications.
• Support project teams in achieving health, safety and environmental outcomes.
