About the Role

As a Workforce Australia Employment Consultant at APM, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our participants (job seekers) to transform their lives. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will work closely with stakeholders, including employers and our participants, to deliver tailored employment solutions. Location: Inala, Qld

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and secure employment opportunities for participants with local employers
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with job seekers to understand their goals, barriers, and aspirations, while developing tailored Job Plans that align with individual needs and programme requirements.
  • Conduct regular face-to-face appointments to monitor progress, provide motivation, and facilitate access to upskilling opportunities such as accredited training and short courses.
  • Deliver practical support including CV writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies, ensuring compliance with mutual obligation requirements and participation reporting.
  • Proactively engage employers through cold calling and labour market insights to uncover hidden job opportunities, presenting candidates’ strengths effectively and negotiating job trials, placements, and wage subsidies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to match candidates to suitable vacancies, while maintaining and nurturing employer relationships through regular follow-up and database management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation for compliance, audits, and claims processing, while managing appointment scheduling, tracking KPIs, and responding to communications professionally.
  • Uphold programme guidelines through diligent record-keeping and active participation in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
