Job summary

Tokyo Headspa in Australia offers a unique opportunity to become a Headspa Therapist. You will provide scalp massages, shampooing, hair-drying, and consult with clients to reduce stress and enhance scalp and hair health in a calm, elegant salon environment.

Open 8am–10pm with shifts including mornings or evenings; permanent positions available with guaranteed weekly hours. Training and career advancement into management or specialised roles are offered as the network grows in 2026.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy or Certificate II in Salon Assistant required.
• Previous salon/clinic experience in hair and massage.
• Interest in hair and scalp health, relaxation therapies, and holistic wellness.
• Professional grooming and presentation with strong communication and customer service skills.

$28 - $35 per hour (permanent rate of pay) + weekend penalty rates + tips & monthly performance bonuses.

Guaranteed hours: Full time or Part time, guaranteed hours each week. Either a morning shift or afternoon/evening shift.

About the Role

As a Headspa Therapist, you'll deliver deeply relaxing treatments including scalp massage, shampooing, hair-drying and consultations to help clients reduce stress and improve scalp and hair health.

Job Role Specifics

Rate of Pay (permanent pay rates):

$26-$27 per hour for recent graduates.

$28-$35 per hour for experienced hair, massage, beauty professionals.

Penalty rates for Saturdays and Sundays.

Monthly rebook incentives.

Hours

Full-time or Part-time positions with guaranteed hours.

We are open 8am - 10pm, 7 days a week and offer morning and evening shifts. (please note most positions require a mix of morning and evening shifts)

What We're Looking For:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Either a Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy or Certificate II in Salon Assistant.
• Previous salon or clinic experience in hair and massage.
• A genuine interest in hair and scalp health, relaxation therapies, and holistic wellness.
• Professional grooming and presentation, with strong communication and customer service skills.
• The physical capacity for 6-8-hour shifts.
• A willingness to learn and embrace Japanese wellness culture.
