Job summary

BlueCare is seeking an experienced Wellness Lead to oversee the Wellness & Engagement Program across aged care homes. You will lead, mentor, and evaluate activities that promote independence, dignity and wellbeing for residents.

You'll collaborate with residents, families and care teams, design meaningful activities, and ensure programs meet individual needs while maintaining safety and compliance. Travel to multiple locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Leisure and Health with extensive relevant experience.
• Current Queensland Driver Licence.
• Experience designing and delivering wellness programs in aged care, disability or community settings.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or leading staff/volunteers.
• Knowledge of person-centered practice, dementia care and cultural safety.
• Willingness to travel and cover multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of wellness and engagement programs.
• Coach and support Wellness Partners and volunteers to deliver positive resident experiences.
• Develop meaningful activities that support physical, emotional, social and cognitive wellbeing.
• Collaborate with residents, families and care teams to ensure programs meet individual needs.
• Monitor resident engagement, wellbeing outcomes and program participation.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support continuous quality improvement.
• Build community connections and support events and special celebrations.
• Ensure activities and environments are safe and align with quality and compliance requirements.
