Department of Education Victoria’s Melton Secondary College seeks a dedicated education professional to lead wellbeing and counselling services for our student community. You will coordinate support for students, families and staff, provide direct counselling, and contribute to policy development aligned with our vision of safe, inclusive learning.

The role focuses on primary prevention, early intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated counselling experience with individuals and groups.
• Experience planning and implementing evidence-based intervention strategies.
• Ability to input into wellbeing policies and strategies.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams to support students, families and staff.
• Experience delivering training to build school capacity.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership in wellbeing programs and policy development.
• Coordinate teams to manage complex cases and incidents affecting wellbeing.
• Provide counselling, risk assessments and advocacy for at-risk students.
• Advocate for students and families through referrals to services.
• Develop and deliver targeted wellbeing programs and training for staff.
