Based in Mount Isa | Outreach across North & West Queensland

Full time | 76 hours per fortnight

Competitive salary + 12% super + salary packaging up to $15,900

At NWRH, we’re partnering with people and communities to strengthen mental health and wellbeing in North and West Queensland. We’re looking for adaptable, client-focused individuals to join our team as Wellbeing Clinicians.

Whether you bring formal qualifications, community experience or lived experience — if you're passionate about supporting people to live their best life, especially in rural and remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, this role could be for you.

We are seeking candidates across the North and West and Lower Gulf regions. You can be based in any of these locations with FIFO into communities.

What you’ll do
  • Deliver strengths-based, culturally safe wellbeing support to clients and communities.
  • Engage directly with children, youth, families, Elders and culturally diverse groups.
  • Travel regularly to remote locations — sometimes by road or small plane — to provide outreach services.
  • Build respectful, trusted relationships with individuals and communities.
  • Work independently as well as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
  • Empower people to improve their social and emotional wellbeing, access health education, and connect to further supports.

  • Culturally respectful — able to engage with diverse people, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Driven by purpose — with lived experience, community knowledge, or qualifications in health, community services or social support.

You’ll also need:

  • A current driver’s licence and the ability to travel
  • The ability to obtain a Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check

Qualifications in Mental Health or Community Services is desirable but not essential. We encourage applicants with lived experience or community knowledge who are willing to build their skills with us.
