Job summary

Bupa Tugun is seeking a Wellbeing Carer to enrich residents' lives through engaging activities, companionship, and support with daily living in a warm, beachside aged care setting on the Gold Coast.

As part of the Lifestyle and Wellbeing team, you’ll facilitate classes, social events, and outings, document progress, and uphold infection control standards while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caring for elders within an Aged Care or community setting is essential.
• First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain one).
• Australian driver’s licence preferable.
• Excellent communication and team-player mindset.

Responsibilities

• Be the fun facilitator: lead art classes, gardening clubs, day trips, and movie nights.
• Foster belonging through social activities and conversations with residents.
• Assist with daily living tasks, meals, outings, and provide emotional support.
• Gather feedback through surveys and family conferences to ensure activities hit the mark.
• Collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities and document progress.
• Maintain hygiene and follow infection control protocols; assist with plating and serving when needed.
