Job summary

Carinity Shalom in Queensland is seeking a part-time Activities Officer to coordinate and deliver meaningful programs for residents. Reporting to the Residential Aged Care Manager, you will lead activities that support emotional and physical rehabilitation and promote wellbeing.

Applicants should have a Certificate III in Aged Care or Lifestyle, experience in aged care activity coordination, and current NDIS screening clearance. 42 hours per fortnight across 3 days weekly.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or Lifestyle.
• Demonstrated experience in an Aged Care environment in providing and coordinating activities, care and/or support services.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and work within a team, offering support and assistance.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Activities programs for residents.
• Motivate residents towards emotional and physical rehabilitation through recreation.
• Enhance residents' psychological, social and physical wellbeing.
