Job summary

Halliburton in Santos Camp, Cooper Basin, Moomba, South Australia seeks an Operator Assistant-L&P to rig-up and rig-down surface and down-hole well logging gear, support logging operations, and ensure safe, efficient field work.

Under direct supervision you will perform inspections, learn to operate pressure control equipment, and contribute to cost containment, efficiency and quality improvements while upholding HSE guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education required.
• 6 months of experience as an Operator Assistant-L&P, II or similar.
• Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required in some locations.
• Well Control Accreditation Program may be required (optional).
• Water survival training may be required.
• Strong communication, math, reading and writing skills are essential.
• Familiarity with HMS standards and safety/environmental procedures is expected.

Responsibilities

• Rig-ups and rig-downs surface and down hole well logging equipment on locations.
• Operate well logging equipment at job site and assemble down hole tools.
• Maintain, clean and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Conduct pre- and post-job vehicle and equipment inspections and document findings.
• Learn to operate pressure control equipment and support cost containment and efficiency goals.
• Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures and quality improvement processes.
