Job summary

Halliburton seeks an experienced Well Engineer in Western Australia to lead proposals, Basis of Design, and operation plans. You will supervise day-to-day operations, prepare AFEs, and ensure cost control while collaborating across disciplines.

The role requires 5+ years in multi-discipline well-site operations, a STEM or Petroleum Engineering degree, and proficiency with Wellplan and Cerberus. WA-based role with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in multi-discipline well-site operations.
  • Degree in STEM or Petroleum Engineering.
  • Experience in Wireline, Cementing or Coiled Tubing operations.
  • Plug & Abandonment experience.
  • Strong technical plan writing skills.
  • Able to problem solve in dynamic environments.
  • Effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Well Deployment Modelling software (i.e Wellplan, Cerberus).
  • Well Control certification (Desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision, the Well Engineer is responsible for well proposals and the Basis of Design.
  • Provides Operation Plans and prepares Programs as well as assures technical integrity of Operations planning and execution.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day surveillance of operations.
  • Responsible for the creation of Approval for Expenditure (AFE) and performs cost control of operations.
  • Participates in risk assessment, forecasts and plans medium and long term needs to meet program requirements, and anticipates operational changes and needs.
  • Prepares equipment lists and identifies long lead items.
  • Ensures proper communication within the project.
  • Performs engineering studies to solve recurring problems.
  • Prepares End-of-Well reports and contributes to knowledge management.
