Job summary

Haynes People invites applications for experienced 2nd Class Welders in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane. Casual ongoing work with potential to become permanent.

Hours are Monday to Thursday 7:00am–3:00pm and Friday 7:00am–1:00pm, with a pay rate of $46-$52/hr plus penalties, depending on qualifications and experience. Responsibilities include MIG, TIG and Stick welding, fabricating and repairing metal components from drawings, using workshop tools, and maintaining safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• Experience as a 2nd Class Welder.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding using MIG, TIG and Stick welding processes.
• Fabricate, assemble and repair metal components and structures.
• Work from engineering drawings, fabrication plans and work orders.
• Weld and fabricate mild steel, stainless steel and other materials as required.
• Operate workshop equipment including grinders, drills and cutting tools.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections on completed work.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area.
• Work collaboratively with production and workshop teams to achieve project deadlines.
• Adhere to all workplace health, safety and quality requirements.

Haynes People currently have multiple positions available for experienced 2nd Class Welders with our valued client in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

What You’ll be Doing

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a 2nd Class Welder
• Current Driver's Licence (Manual Licence preferred)
• Experience with MIG, TIG and Stick welding processes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong fabrication and workshop experience
• Forklift Licence and Construction White Card highly regarded
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screen
