Job summary

Randstad partnered with BAE Systems to recruit highly skilled FIFO Welders for a major defence shipbuilding project in Adelaide, South Australia. The role offers a 3 weeks on/1 week off roster with a starting rate of $83+ per hour (including casual and shift loading) plus overtime.

FIFO from any capital city, with private accommodation and a $100 daily meal allowance. Onboarding occurs on Day Shift Week 1, with Week 1 hours paid at Day Shift Rate.

Qualifications

• Ability to read drawings.
• Fabrication experience with MIG welding.
• Fabrication experience with flux-core welding.
• Strong commitment to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Work as part of a fabrication team to deliver quality welds.
• Adhere to safety procedures and site requirements.

Week 1

• Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 12:30am
• Friday 1:30pm - 9:30pm or 3:30pm - 7:30pm

Week 2

• Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 12:30am
• Friday 4:00pm - 12:00am

Week 3

• Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 12:30am
• Friday 1:30pm - 9:20pm or 3:30pm - 7:30pm

As a Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Identity Card (NSSIC) is required for this role, applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be eligible to obtain and maintain the appropriate clearances including NSSIC and ITAR.
