AUSTBORE is seeking skilled Welders for a full‑time permanent role. You will read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, fabricate and repair metal structures, and perform welding across steel, aluminium and other alloys. Adherence to safety guidelines and quality checks is essential.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets engineering drawings, specifications and blueprints.
• Proficient in welding, gouging, cutting or related duties.
• Post-trade experience in fabrication/welding field.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specs.
• Experience with steel, aluminium and other alloys.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools (grinders, drills, cutting tools).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project plans, engineering drawings, blueprints and other instructions.

Read and interpret project plans, engineering drawings, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand

• Perform fabrication and repair works on various metal structures and components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints
• Work with variety of materials, including steel, aluminium, and other alloys
• Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines.
• Perform appropriate type of weld - base on project needs and specifications
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Ensure fabrication and repairs are carried out using the proper safety guidelines to ensure rework jobs do not occur.
• Use a range of hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, and cutting tools
• Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets standard specifications
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat‑resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.

• Post trade experience in the same field
