Job summary

Griffith City Council is seeking a Weeds Inspector/Vegetation Control to undertake weed and vegetation control across the Local Control Area and to support the safe use and maintenance of chemicals and equipment.

You will hold a current Australian MR driver licence, a GIT/white card, and a chemical accreditation certificate (level 3); backhoe/front-end loader competency is required for the role. This is a permanent full-time position with competitive salary and superannuation.

Salary: Grade 9 - Commencement from $72,524.40 to $79,771.12 per annum, plus superannuation and rostered day off per fortnight

About the Role

The role of the Weeds Inspector/ Vegetation Control is to undertake the control of weeds and vegetation across the Local Control Area and attend to the safe use and maintenance of chemicals, plant and materials to achieve successful results.

Qualifications: The successful applicant must hold a current Australian MR driver licence, a General Construction Induction Training certificate (GIT or white card) a WorkCover certificate or document of competency from a registered training provider for the use of a Backhoe and Front End Loader and a current chemical accreditation certificate (level 3).
