Job summary

St. Scholastica's Catholic Primary School in Burwood is seeking a motivated classroom teacher to join on 0.24 FTE, one day a week (Wednesdays), starting 27 January 2027.

The role includes supporting the Catholic ethos, applying the Victorian Curriculum, and building strong relationships with students and families. The successful candidate will have VIT registration and accreditation to teach RE in a Catholic School or be willing to obtain it, with a focus on explicit instruction and MACS'

Qualifications

• Must hold VIT registration and accreditation to teach RE or be willing to obtain.
• Experience implementing explicit instruction methods to improve learning outcomes.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and school vision.

Responsibilities

• Support the Catholic ethos of St. Scholastica's Catholic Primary School in Burwood.
• Display knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• Work flexibly and collaboratively within staff teams.
• Demonstrate knowledge/experience in explicit Instruction and a vision of learning and engagement.
• Demonstrate understanding and implementation of MACS' Explicit Instruction model to improve learning outcomes.
