Job summary

Hamilton Island Enterprises is seeking an experienced Weddings Manager to lead the team responsible for destination weddings on Hamilton Island. This hands-on role balances leadership with detailed event execution, ensuring every wedding meets the highest standards across unique island venues.

The successful candidate will manage planning, coordination and delivery, work closely with couples, suppliers and internal teams, and mentor a growing team to consistently achieve exceptional experiences

Qualifications

• Strong management experience within weddings, events or a closely related hospitality environment.
• Demonstrated experience planning and delivering weddings and complex events.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop an events team.
• Exceptional organisation with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities.

Responsibilities

• You'll lead the Weddings team and oversee the planning and delivery of weddings across Hamilton Island, ensuring couples receive exceptional service from the planning stages through to their wedding day.
• You'll support and develop your team, oversee event planning and operational delivery, and ensure the many moving parts behind each wedding come together seamlessly.
• Working closely with couples, celebrants, stylists, suppliers and internal teams, you'll confidently manage competing priorities, resolve challenges and maintain exceptional standards across every celebration.

From intimate ceremonies overlooking the Whitsundays to larger celebrations across Hamilton Island's unique venues, our Weddings team brings together couples, venues, suppliers and island operations to create truly unforgettable occasions.

We're looking for an experienced Weddings Managerwith a strong background in wedding and events management to lead our team. This is a hands‑on management role for someone who understands the detail, emotion and complexity behind exceptional weddings - and knows how to lead a team to deliver them seamlessly.

What you'll be doing
