Job summary

Australian Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development is seeking an EL1 Assistant Director, Web Services, ICT Operations, First Nations. The role leads the Web Services Section, governs the GovCMS platform and drives web publishing excellence to support the department’s public-facing digital presence.

The successful candidate will manage a team, oversee platform upgrades, ensure accessibility and security, and collaborate with cross-government partners to deliver sustainable digital

Qualifications

• Experience leading web services, content management or enterprise platforms in a complex environment.
• Governing and managing enterprise platforms, service ownership and continual service improvement.
• Understanding governance, accessibility, information management and cyber security for web publishing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Web Services Section, including workforce planning, staff leadership and resource allocation.
• Oversee GovCMS platform, ensure security, accessibility and operational sustainability.
• Govern platform upgrades, service enhancements and technology changes affecting web publishing.
• Provide expert advice on governance, platform capabilities and long-term value.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and senior executives to deliver outcomes.
