Job summary

Met Tile is seeking a qualified Waterproofer to join our team for on-site work across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. You will apply waterproofing membranes, coatings and sealants to commercial and residential properties, ensuring high workmanship standards and on-time project delivery.

The role requires reading technical drawings, physical fitness for field tasks, and delivering excellent customer service. A valid driver’s licence and relevant trade qualifications are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on waterproofing experience with 6+ years in the trade.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong physical fitness and dexterity for field tasks.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Certification in waterproofing or relevant trade qualifications would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for waterproofing application.
• Apply membranes, coatings and sealants per manufacturer specs.
• Maintain high workmanship standards and attention to detail.
• Troubleshoot and resolve waterproofing-related issues that arise.
• Maintain a safe, tidy work environment.

Job description

Met Tile has been operating since 2007 and is one of Queensland's largest commercial tiling contractors, servicing Queensland's construction projects.

Met Tile has a long and secured pipeline of upcoming projects and we are looking for a qualified and experienced Waterproofers to join our team.

This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for applying high-quality waterproofing solutions to commercial and residential properties across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The role requires working on-site and contributing to the successful delivery of our waterproofing projects.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing surfaces for waterproofing application
• Applying waterproofing membranes, coatings and sealants according to manufacturer specifications
• Ensuring a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
• Troubleshooting and resolving any waterproofing-related issues that may arise
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment
• Providing excellent customer service to clients

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Waterproofer, with at least 6 years of hands-on experience in the trade
• Must be fully competent in all aspects of the waterproofing trade
• Strong understanding of waterproofing materials, application techniques and building regulations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Physical fitness and dexterity to perform the required tasks
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's licence, a company car will be provided
• Certification in waterproofing or relevant trade qualifications would be highly regarded
