Job summary

River House 4215 on the Gold Coast seeks an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, lead the service team and ensure an outstanding guest experience.

You will manage budgets, coordinate kitchen collaboration, monitor stock, and uphold food safety and WHS standards while rostering staff and driving service excellence. Role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hospitality Management preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience as Restaurant Manager or similar role.
• Strong leadership, communication and people-management skills.
• Experience leading a team in a busy restaurant environment.
• Knowledge of stock control, budgeting and financial reconciliation.
• Knowledge of food-safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Commitment to customer service and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistently high levels of customer satisfaction and service.
• Manage the restaurant's profitable, efficient and safe operation.
• Work with kitchen staff to develop and implement suitable menus.
• Manage operational budgets and performance targets.
• Ensure food, beverage and operational supplies are ordered efficiently.
• Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate stock-movement records.
• Account for financial transactions and reconcile daily figures.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety and food-safety requirements.
• Oversee the restaurant's presentation, functionality and reservation systems.
• Build rapport with customers and consistently exceed their expectations.
• Recruit, select, train and develop restaurant staff.
• Manage and supervise front-of-house and kitchen employees to maintain the required service standards.
• Assist with staff rostering, performance management and daily operational planning.
