Job description

SL Hughes Transport Pty Ltd is seeking a Water Truck Driver to join our team on a casual basis. This role is based around the Gold Coast and offers the flexibility of casual work whilst contributing to essential logistics and transport operations. As a Water Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining water truck vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of water to our clients.

Key responsibilities

Safely operate water truck vehicles in compliance with all road safety regulations and company protocols

Deliver water loads to designated locations on schedule and in accordance with client requirements

Conduct pre-operation and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and roadworthiness

Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any incidents or maintenance issues

Communicate effectively with owner operator and clients regarding delivery status and any operational concerns

Adhere to all traffic laws, load management regulations and health and safety requirements whilst operating the vehicle

What we're looking for

Valid driver's licence - Heavy Rigid or Heavy Combination

Must have experience driving a Road Ranger

Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar commercial driving role

Sound knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting capabilities

Strong understanding of road safety regulations, load management and workplace health and safety standards

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members professionally

Ability to work independently whilst maintaining high standards of professionalism and reliability

Physical fitness and capability to perform tasks associated with water truck operations

A clean driving record and positive attitude towards safety compliance

Flexibility to work casual hours as operational demands require
