Job summary

Seqwater is the Queensland Government Bulk Water Supply Authority responsible for delivering safe, secure and cost-effective bulk water supply for 3.2 million people across Southeast Queensland. The role is to operate and monitor water treatment processes, collect samples and respond to alarms to ensure water quality and supply.

You will log daily plant data, maintain records, and take appropriate actions to prevent problems while working on a roster that includes weekends and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Certificate II or higher in Water Industry Operations or deemed equivalent experience
• Possess a C class Drivers Licence

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and optimise water treatment plants.
• Collect and analyse process samples as scheduled.
• Identify equipment faults, evaluate options and implement changes or contingency plans.
• Accurately compile and record plant operational data daily including shift events.
• Report all breakdowns, spillage and abnormal occurrences to ensure problems are resolved promptly.
