Veolia Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Trainee Water Treatment Operator for the Mount Piper Power Station Water Treatment Facility near Lithgow. This role offers practical on‑the‑job training while you learn to operate and maintain essential equipment.

No water treatment experience required; if you are safety focused, mechanically minded and eager to learn, we want to hear from you. The position includes rotating shifts, weekend work and opportunities to develop a long term career in water

Competenze

A practical approach and willingness to learn.
Interest in machinery, maintenance or plant operation.
Reliability and a strong commitment to safety.
Mechanical, electrical, process operations or trade experience would be helpful but is not essential.

Mansioni

Monitor and operate water treatment equipment.
Complete routine plant inspections and checks.
Assist with basic maintenance and repairs.
Collect water samples and conduct testing.
Identify and report issues with equipment or processes.
Maintain accurate operational records.
Keep plant and work areas clean and safe.
Participate in shift handovers, toolbox talks and training.
This position works a rotating shift roster, including weekends and public holidays.
