Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent).
  • Experience in stormwater, drainage or floodplain asset management.
  • Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling.
  • Experience in asset management, risk assessment and capital works planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with practical engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage Council's stormwater and marine asset management plans.
  • Deliver hydrologic and hydraulic modelling to support flood management and infrastructure planning.
  • Plan and prioritise capital works programs aligned with long-term strategic objectives.
  • Identify and deliver flood mitigation initiatives that improve community safety and resilience.
  • Prepare business cases, funding submissions and secure external grant opportunities for priority projects.
  • Provide specialist engineering advice and work collaboratively with internal teams, government agencies and the community.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Water Resources Asset Engineer to join our Asset Engineering team.
