Job summary

Village Roadshow Ltd is seeking a Water Quality Technician at Sea World on the Gold Coast. The role focuses on maintaining pristine pool water and testing every two hours to ensure safe, sparkling experiences for guests.

You will operate and calibrate automated chemical dosing equipment, manage chemical stocks, and ensure safe handling of hazardous materials, contributing to a clean and safe splash zone for visitors.

Qualifications

• Must have manual driver’s license
• Experience in a similar role preferred
• Experience with water filtration plants and pump maintenance beneficial
• Pool plant operator certificate advantageous
• Forklift license advantageous
• Basic understanding of UV systems
• Basic understanding of water hydraulics
• Availability to work 5am–10pm including weekends and rotate shifts

Responsibilities

• Maintaining safe and sparkling pools by understanding and managing chemical parameters and standards
• Operating, adjusting and maintaining automated chemical metering and dosing equipment to a operator level
• Keeping pool chemical stock levels in check and ensuring hazardous materials and equipment are safely stored and managed
• Performing daily maintenance of filtration systems, lint strainers, chemical and centrifugal pumps
• Completing all Mobaro checklists and Maximo generated work orders within scheduled time frames ensuring a consistent standard of workload output

From pristine tiles to safe swims, you'll ensure every guest enjoys a clean, safe, and unforgettable splash zone.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining safe and sparkling pools by understanding and managing chemical parameters and standards


• Operating, adjusting and maintaining all automated chemical metering and chemical dosing equipment to an operator's level


• Keeping pool chemical stock levels in check and ensuring hazardous materials and equipment are safely stored and managed


• Performing daily maintenance of filtration systems lint strainers chemical and centrifugal pumps


• Completing all Mobaro checklists and Maximo generated work orders within scheduled time frames ensuring a consistent standard of workload output

What We're Looking For

• Manual driver's license essential


• Previous experience in a similar role


• Experience with water filtration plants and small pump maintenance would be beneficial


• Pool plant operator certificate, advantageous


• A Forklift license, advantageous


• Basic understanding of UV systems


• Basic understanding of water hydraulics


• Must be available to work between the hours of 5am to 10pm including weekends and rotate shifts when required
