Job summary

Urban Utilities invites applications for Water Industry Workers to join our field crews across Acacia Ridge, Eagle Farm and Bundamba. You’ll inspect, repair and maintain water and sewer systems, respond to service requests, and help keep water flowing across Metro North, Metro South and Ipswich.

This hands-on role offers training, tools, and career progression, with shifts from early morning to late night and two weekends in ten, plus overtime opportunities and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Civil Construction/Maintenance, Plumbing, Utilities, Pipelaying.
• MR or HR driver's licence is mandatory or willing to obtain.
• Experience operating excavator and bobcat is desirable.
• Licensed Plumber is desirable.
• Strong communicator with ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, replace and maintain water and sewer infrastructure.
• Respond to customer service requests and keep water flowing to homes and businesses.
• Work shifts 6am–12am and 12am–5:30am, 2 weekends in 10 with overtime opportunities.
• Receive training and progression support to develop new skills and qualifications.
