Job summary

AECOM is expanding its Water Infrastructure team in Melbourne. We seek an experienced Design Manager to lead multi-disciplinary design delivery for water infrastructure projects, with hybrid work options and opportunities to collaborate across ANZ and internationally where appropriate.

You will work closely with clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure delivery excellence, governance and safety while driving digital delivery and sustainable outcomes for communities.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent with consulting/design management experience.
• Proven experience delivering water infrastructure projects (treatment plants, pipelines).
• Track record managing large, complex designs within scope, schedule and budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline design delivery aligned with client goals and contractors.
• Uphold governance, safety and technical quality in design decisions.
• Manage design programs and budgets; proactively address risks to meet commitments.
• Chair design reviews and technical forums (HAZID/HAZOP).
• Drive digital delivery (BIM/model coordination) and promote sustainability.
