Job summary

Jacobs in Australia is seeking a Design Manager for Water/Wastewater projects. You will lead project delivery, design management and bid positioning, while partnering with commercial, project management, engineering and design leaders to win and execute major water infrastructure programs.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, is Chartered (CPEng or equivalent) and brings 10+ years in water/wastewater civil engineering, with strong leadership and cross-location coordination.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent (CEng or PE).
10+ years experience in water or wastewater civil engineering.
Strong background in water industry consultancy, Civil Design, construction or delivery.
Proven track record of technical leadership for successful delivery of water infrastructure projects.
Comprehensive knowledge of safety in design and Australian water industry standards.
Proven ability to coordinate multiple engineering disciplines across geographic locations.
Promote safety culture within the organisation and with our clients.
Ability to mentor early or mid career professionals

Responsibilities

Managing project delivery, design management and project management.
Assisting with positioning and winning projects involving a range of services.
Collaborating with commercial, project management, engineering and design leaders to plan, develop, deliver, and operate projects.
Overseeing design for major water/wastewater infra projects including pipelines, treatment plants or pump stations.
