Job summary

Greater Western Water is seeking a hands-on Wastewater Treatment Operator based at the Melton Recycled Water Plant. You will monitor and optimise treatment processes, use SCADA systems, conduct sampling and testing, and support maintenance and improvement projects to protect public health and the environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Water Treatment or Wastewater Treatment Operations required or equivalent experience.
• Current Driver's Licence and Forklift Licence highly desirable.
• Proactive safety mindset with ability to follow procedures and control risks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes to deliver safe, reliable and compliant services.
• Use SCADA and operational systems to monitor plant performance, identify issues and respond to alarms.
• Conduct inspections, sampling and testing activities to support treatment performance and regulatory compliance.
• Support maintenance, shutdown and improvement activities with engineers and contractors to maintain asset reliability.
• Promote a safe working culture and participate in after-hours on-call roster as required.
