Job summary

Greater Western Water in Melton is seeking a hands-on Wastewater Operations Technician to operate and maintain the Southern Recycled Water Plant. You will monitor treatment processes, optimise performance, and use SCADA to track plant health while solving operational challenges.

You'll conduct sampling, collaborate with engineers and contractors, and participate in after-hours on-call rosters. A safety-focused mindset and a Driver's Licence with Forklift cert are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Water Treatment or Wastewater Treatment Operations, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes to deliver safe, reliable and compliant services.
• Use SCADA and systems to monitor plant performance, identify issues and respond to alarms.
• Conduct inspections, sampling and testing to support performance and compliance.
• Support maintenance, shutdown and improvements, working with engineers and contractors.
• Promote safety by identifying hazards, managing risks and participating in after-hours on-call roster.
