Job summary

City of Moreton Bay is seeking a Site Operations Team Leader to direct the safe, compliant operation of a major waste facility within one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions. You will oversee landfill, transfer-station and resource-recovery activities, build a high-performing team, and manage contractors and stakeholders to deliver superior service outcomes.

The role requires extensive experience in landfill and waste operations, strong governance and risk management, and the ability to lead

Qualifications

• Substantial experience leading landfill and waste-facility operations, including environmental management, weighbridge systems and the Queensland waste levy.
• Sound governance and risk judgement, constructive relationships with regulators and contractors, and the ability to guide teams through change.

Responsibilities

• Own landfill, transfer-station and resource-recovery activities.
• Lead and develop a capable operational team.
• Manage contractors and stakeholder relationships.
