Job summary

SIXT Australia is seeking a Full Time Wash Bay Supervisor at Cairns Airport to lead a detailing team and ensure premium vehicle presentation for every rental. You will report to the Area Manager and drive daily operations while upholding SIXT standards, policies, and safety practices.

SIXT Australia is on the lookout for a Full Time Wash Bay Supervisor to join the team at Cairns Airport! At SIXT, you can fully showcase your strengths. Reporting to the Area Manager, you’ll meet SIXT Australia’s vehicle presentation standards, exceed customer expectations, and contribute to the successful daily operation of the location. YOUR ROLE

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Ensuring every vehicle is presented to the highest standard, delivering a positive experience for every customer.
• Overseeing the cleaning, inspection, and preparation of vehicles, maintaining asset quality and availability for rental.
• Leading by example, communicating clearly, and fostering a collaborative team environment to achieve daily goals.
• Promoting and enforce safe work practices, promptly identifying hazards, and ensuring a safe environment for all team members.
• Upholding company policies, procedures, and compliance standards, ensuring all work is completed honestly and accurately.
• Prioritising and delegating tasks effectively, ensuring deadlines are met and operations run smoothly.
• Driving operational efficiency by monitoring workflows, identifying improvements, and ensuring optimal use of resources.
• Training, mentoring, and motivating your team, supporting their growth and ensuring consistent, high-quality results.

Your Skills

• Leadership Capability: You will have proven ability to inspire a high-performing detailing team, driving a culture of efficiency, safety, and productivity while upholding SIXT Australia’s renowned standards and achieving our shared goals
• Flexibility: You are willing to work a rotating roster between 6am and midnight, Monday to Sunday, including school holidays, weekends, and public holidays
• Communication: You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to Detail: You will have a keen eye for detail and take pride in your work.

Experience in vehicle detailing or cleaning is preferable, however not essential.

All successful applicants will be required to complete a National Criminal History Check and a pre-employment medical check, including drug and alcohol screening. Please note that all candidates will need a current provisional or full driver's licence and working rights in Australia.
